FOOD,

MOM.

My mom taught me to be hungry.
Don’t skip the condiments and sides. I understood.
Don’t waste time on a sandwich without layers.
Stack every bite with flavor, crisps, chips even.
There’s no wrong way to cut it.
But don’t slice corners in fear of wasted steps.
Gradient greens, yellow, red, salt, pepper, salsa.
Savor all the colors smashing inside your head.
Collect, treasure our treasured recipes and dishes.

Eat dessert, especially dessert you made.
