INTERGALACTIC SPACE-KITTY CONSPIRACY: PT. 2
POEM/MINI-STORY
🎵Aura suggestion: “Jet Lag” by Ivy Lab
Earth resembled a giant,
blue and green
ball of yarn, as the spaceship approached.
Little space-kitty stared out the glass window
curiously,
while her cute little tail playfully twitched.
Soon, the smell of nature’s salty fish tank—
along with sweet, SWEET solar heat—
permeated the cardboard walls,
as
she prepared to descend.
The boxy spacecraft cascaded down from way
above the clouds
with grace and finesse.
A purring hum sliced through the air as it flew,
until it eventually landed in
a lush green yard,
where a little boy was sitting alone, eating.
The boy looked up, sad, at first, but his face
lit up
with a spark,
like 4th of July fireworks in Los Angeles,
when he noticed our determined
little space-kitty
racing across the grass towards him,
and he offered out to her a bite of meat
from his carne asada
taco.
Under the trance
of this, the most juicy,
aromatic,
creation of the gods, her
body purred, ferociously,
and she quickly, and adorably, gobbled
up the chunks of marinated meat.
As she stared up at her new ally in relief,
her eyes were filled with trust and hope,
twinkling like periwinkle-blue galaxies,
until,
on the boy’s face—
just a few inches from his smile—
a tiny, red dot,
inconspicuously, appeared.
